First attempts using the distress ink backgrounds

OK, here goes! These are my first attempts at backgrounds using the distress inks that Lindsay demo-ed at the class I went to. I will just add at this point, this was not the content of the class I did with her - she kindly showed a few of the ladies this technique, after I said I had bought the inks after I saw her August demo at Oswalldtwistle mill, and didn't really know how to get the effect. Well, after all, I could be considered half blonde because of the highlights hahaha!! Hopefully, I will get better with practise. I was a bit heavy handed with the white pen on the owl - he looks a bit scary!
